22.02.10: Open Source House was a proud participant at the WACAP forum

The 7th forum of the World Alliance of Cities Against Poverty (WACAP) took place between the 24-26 Februray, 2010 in Rotterdam. This year the forum’s theme was “Confronting the Crisis Collectively” and aimed to discuss, debate and deliberate strategies and strengthen solutions to global challenges at local and regional levels.  It is a critical and important forum that contributes to solutions that are needed to bring humanity together into a new era of equitable and sustained development and to create an environment where people have the resources and can make the choices to live a productive and healthy life. The participants of the forum were from various cities, regions and continents. They had background of national governments, representatives of European and UN institutions, non-governmental organizations and private partners.

 

The members of Open Source House were present at the WACAP forum and promoted their project. Participating in this forum gave to Open Source House the opportunity to exchange knowledge and create relationship with individuals from different nationalities who have similar goals. Open Source House showed its commitment to provide sustainable and affordable housing to people who cannot afford conventional housing. Open Source House is proud that to be part of the forum! WACAP is determined to find solutions for better living standards and so is Open Source House.
